Benefit Shows at Club Passim - Sunday, February 24, 2013
Thursday, January 10, 2013
The first of two benefit concert events for the Ferguson Family Fund was a huge success! Last night at Club Passim, The Loomers, joined by and all-star cast including: Josh Kantor, Matt Smith, Heather Quay, Brian Doser, Jim Infantino, Scott Janovitz, Catie Curtis, Chris Trapper, Jerry Gregoire, Vance Gilbert, Jennifer Kimball, and Hugh McGowan, rocked out to the one-hit wonders of the '70s and '80s to a sold-out house. To say there were highlights would diminish some of the performances and everyone was spot on last night. Worth mention is the derring do of Vance Gilbert who hopped onstage at the end of the show and agreed to sing a rendition of "Brandi," which the band learned to play while Vance searched for the lyrics on his smartphone. Only in the 21st century!
An enormous thank you to Club Passim, all of the performers, and all who came out and supported the show!
The second event is coming up on Sunday, February 24, 2013, again at Club Passim. The End Construction songwriters collaborative will play two reunion shows that day at 5pm and 8pm. Tickets can be purchased at he links below and the End Construction Productions website has information about Jon Svetkey, Jim Infantino, Brian Doser, and Ellis Paul in the event that you are unfamiliar with them.
